- PM Modi made three big announcements on Saturday night in his address to the country.

Announcing the vaccination of children, PM Modi said that it will not only strengthen the fight for the country, but the school will remove the worries of our children going to college and their parents. PM Modi said, “The children who are between the age of 15 years to 18 years, now vaccination will start in the country for them. In 2022, on 3rd January, it will be started from Monday.
Announcing the booster dose for healthcare and frontline workers, PM Modi said, “We all have experience that those who are corona warriors, healthcare and frontline workers, they have a huge contribution in keeping the country safe in this fight. Even today, they spends a lot of his time in the service of Corona patients. Therefore, as a precaution, the government has decided that the Precaution Dose (booster dose) of the vaccine will also be started for healthcare and frontline workers. It will be started in 2022, on January 10, Monday.
PM Modi said that booster dose has also been announced for the elderly suffering from other diseases. PM Modi said, "Citizens above 60 years of age with co-morbidities, on the advice of their doctor, the option of Precaution Dose of the vaccine will also be available to them. This too will be available from January 10.
PM Modi appealed on Omicron to be careful instead of panicking. He said, "In India too, many people have been found to be infected with Omicron. I would urge all of you not to panic, be careful and alert. He urged to wear the mask and wash hands regularly.
The PM said that today when the virus is mutating, our faith is also increasing. Today there are 18 lakh isolation beds in the country. There are 5 lakh oxygen beds. There are 5 lakh ICU beds, ICU and non ICU beds exclusively for children. Today more than 3 thousand oxygen plants are functioning in the country. 4 lakh oxygen cylinders have been given to the country. States are being helped to prepare buffer stock of essential medicines.
