Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that adequate arrangements are being made in our state to deal with the new variant of coronavirus, Omicron. On Sunday, he urged the people to take necessary precautions and while comforting the people of the state, he said that the new form of coronavirus will also be defeated. He also said that the number of COVID-19 cases being reported in the state is now the lowest in the country. The Health Department said that 48 new patients of coronavirus were found in Gujarat on Sunday. At the same time, one death was recorded. With this, the total number of cases of infection here increased to 8,27,707 and the death toll rose to 10,095.
According to the information received from the Health Department, shops and salons etc. will be able to open till 12 o'clock in the curfew imposed in the cities of Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar and Junagadh. While restaurants are allowed to remain open till midnight, they will only open at 75 per cent capacity. At the same time, the service of 'home delivery' of food and take-away (take away) of food will also continue till midnight. An official said that in the above 8 cities, night curfew is in force from one o'clock in the night to five in the morning. It is to be known that on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath Puja, the curfew time was reduced by 2 hours.
