Indian Medical Association, Pune's past President, Dr Prakash Marathe, said, the government should work on prevention of diseases and should form policies accordingly.
Dr Marathe said, 'Doctor cures disease by medicine. But it will benefit more if the government ensures that it does not happen. The government should form policies for health, exercise and, diet. They should also consider people's opinion. This will help in managing communicable diseases.'
'Second important thing is government should try to nullify serious diseases. The government should try for other diseases too like it is trying to eradicate TB and polio.'
